Through the use of color and sound and shape, human beings throughout
history have tried to demonstrate to others a sense of the unseen heavens
- seeking to evoke within us feelings of awe, beauty, peace and love -
feelings which all exist in heaven as a natural state of
being. All such attempts to convey a sense of heaven are of course
only pale reflections, as we are
using the palette of the limited, of that which perishes, to convey something of the sense of that which is
imperishable, eternal.

No matter how majestic or beautiful, all constructions of this world in time fade,
decay and die. The music fades away, the most magnificent works of
art decay, and we ourselves, in our present forms, die.
Yet
we know that nothing ever truly dies - it is only transformed into other
states of being, energy and consciousness. The wood that is burned
on the fire is transformed into heat, light and a few remaining
ashes. We may say that the wood has "died," but its death
has given rise to other states of being, energy and consciousness that
look very different from its original form!
